Gone are the days of putting tights just on your little ones! Us adults can now indulge in a little creativity when t comes to adding a little pizazz to our outfits. Tights are an easy way to make an old skirt look brand new again! The styles today are endless…prints, floral, leopard, embellishments, etc.

For all of us up here in NY, we know the wonderful fall leads us right into the inevitable snowy, winter weather we are so accustomed to. It also means that it is time to bundle up, but who says we can’t still look great! Bundling up may never have looked so good! Our coat is the first thing people see, so why not showcase your great sense of style

How will you showcase your style this winter?
I have always been a devoted, long-time wearer of Lancome foundation and powder, but recently I decided to step away from my comfort zone and try something new. I was nervous at first as my skin is extremely sensitive and does not like change…but, who does!
My decision to switch to MAC was an easy one! I love everything MAC…eye shadows, lipsticks, glosses, etc. I also love talking with the girl at the MAC counter at Macy’s…she made the switch even easier.
My choices:
If you want your skin to look flawless, almost like a porcelain doll, then I highly suggest trying out these products. I am so happy I did.
What are your MAC favorites?
It is all about the dark hue’s in nail color this fall and right now I am loving OPI’s Swiss Collection. My favorites are “Just a Little Rosti At This” and “William Tell Me About.”
They are a great way to step into fall and accentuate any outfit!

Don’t we all love just a little va-va-va voom in our hair! A little sex appeal and a little volume….what more can you ask for?!?! My new go-to product for lots of root lift and volume is Tigi’s Catwalk Root Booster from their Royal Highness Collection. Such a fitting collection for me to use! As we move into fall and the inevitable winter cold weather, we need to find a way to stay warm, yet still look great! Enter in…Faux Fur! Gone are the days of ratty, fake looking, overly fabricated faux fur. We now see lush designs that most people would never even know were fakes.
Some great fur looks have been popping all over: vests, hats, scarves even jackets with a hint of fur around the color. Very hot this season! My personal favorite is the faux fur vest! You can glam it up a lace shirt and skirt or rock-it-out with skinny jeans and a pair of knee high boots.

As the crisp fall weather appears, we are seeing the need for more layers and heartier clothing. What a perfect time for the over-sized chunky knit sweater to make its comeback.
I have seen it worn in so many different ways and my personal favorite is the long cardigan paired with leggings, knee high boots and a great belt to pull it all together. The belt is a must with an over-sized sweater…girls, we need to define our waists! We don’t want to get lost in the sweater!

If you are like me, you can never have too many handbags. They are a great way to pull an outfit together! Right now we are seeing a division of thought between designers. While some are bringing back the classics; square & rectangle shapes, minimal hardware and neutral colors, others are going all out and embracing the extreme. Here we see bold embellishments, exotic leathers, and bold/bright colors. Personally, I love them both, but why not walk on the wild side and choose something over-the-top!
When I walked into the Coach store today, I saw a little bit of all these trends. There were purses in neutrals and then some in very bright colors and print. I have to say that my favorite, and the one I bought, was a more neutral color (very surprising), quartz….kind of a blushy, purple. If that even is a color!
